Goshen Baking School is the brain child of Madame Ekabe Quenter. After using flour and baking to be a self-employed and financially independent housewife, she decided to share her skills and experience to other underprivileged women in the same shoes as her.
Goshen Baking School was created in 2014 It was created to empower women and youth. With women in rural areas being relegated to the background, she sought to create a system by which these women can create wealth for themselves. She realised that flour could produce sustainable income to those who could transform it right from the comfort of their home. This inspired the creation of the baking school. This baking school was a tool too
Financially empower these women to take care of their basic needs and contribute to the running of the home, leading to financial independence that will permit them to run personal projects to fight against poverty
